About Toulouse
Toulouse is the 4th biggest city in France, a gateway into an exceptional area and well known for its pioneers and sense of adventure. Known as the ‘pink city’, it is an outstanding leader in innovation (Label of European City of science in 2018) combining history, with one of the oldest universities in Europe, and innovation, with over 22,000 researchers, over 110,000 students, over 400 research units and 4 hubs of competitiveness.
Day 1– Arrive into Toulouse
Morning/Afternoon: Guests arrive into Toulouse Blagnac Airport where they will be greeted and escorted to special surprise transport to Parc du Chateau de Rochemontes.
Visit Parc du Chateau de Rochemontes where a French lunch will be served. You will learn about the violets, the hallmark flower of the city. Activities will also include the pastel, which is used to colour textiles and in the manufacturing of cosmetics.
Transfer to the hotel for room allocation and check in.
Evening: Cocktails and dinner at nearby restaurant
Day 2 – Exploring the City and the Culture of Toulouse –
Traditional French buffet breakfast at the hotel
Morning: Private city tour of Toulouse including stops and tastings such as a French patisserie, local wine with canapés. Sites include The Jacobins Convent, Le Capitole and The Mansion House. You will visit a local food market with the opportunity to try French produce from the local region. Opportunity to shop and explore before lunch.
Lunch at a City Restaurant.
Afternoon: After lunch, you will visit Aeroscopia where you can explore the history of aeronautics. You will be able to climb aboard the iconic Concorde and Airbus A300B with a glass floor. Following this, you will visit the Airbus assembly line. Return to the hotel to freshen up.
Evening: Dinner in the city centre followed by Ballet or Opera at Le Capitole Theatre
Day 3– Outside Toulouse
Traditional French buffet breakfast at the hotel and check out.
Morning: Transfer to Albi. Upon arrival you will have a guided tour of Albi including the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites: Cathedral of Sainte-Cécile and Toulouse Lautrec museum.
Afternoon: Tour at local vineyard Château de Salettes**** (1* Michelin Restaurant) followed by wine tasting and lunch. Transfer to the Toulouse Blagnac Airport.
